Pakistani women win their first victory in South Africa

POTCHEFSTROOM, South Africa: Pakistan’s women team beat South Africa with eight wickets in the first match of the ICC women’s tournament on Monday

It is the biggest victory for ODI in terms of the remaining balls and his first-ever victory in South Africa.

South Africa scored 63 runs before being all-out in 23rd over. Chloe Tryon and Mignon du Preez were the only players able to enter double digits.

Sana Mir was the star for Pakistan as she took four wickets in six overs and didn’t allow the opponent to score freely.

The series could be crucial in deciding who qualifies for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021.

The series also offers leading players the opportunity to improve their positions in women’s ICC ODI player ratings.

Pakistan is currently the sixth with 12 points, with South Africa in fifth place with 13 points. Pakistan hopes to keep pace after a 2-1 win in the West Indies Series, while South Africa can improve its point position in the home situation.

The former captain of Pakistan, Sana Mir, will try to restore the first position among the bowlers when she enters this series at the third position. Left-handed player Nashra Sandhu (26) and Dar Nida (38) are other top-pitchers in Pakistan, while Javeria Khan (24), Nahida Khan (26), Captain Bismah Maroof (31) and Sana Mir (35) are the most important batters for them.
